The Atomos Shogun Classic monitor is a professional device that combines the functions of a monitor, recorder and video switcher. With a 7.2-inch HDR display, 3000 nits brightness and 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, the device provides exceptional visibility and accurate exposure judgment in any lighting conditions. Designed for multi-camera productions, live broadcasts and cinematography, the Shogun Classic allows simultaneous recording and monitoring of up to four independent 1080p60 streams via SDI inputs, offering asynchronous switching and recording per program channel.
The monitor provides reliable signal management and control thanks to 4 SDI inputs and 1 HDMI output. Support for professional formats such as ProRes, DNxHD and H.264 ensures compatibility with a wide range of cameras and workflows. HDR display and 10-bit color support ensure accurate color visualization, and a color gamut of up to 105% DCI-P3 ensures the richness and accuracy of the image, which is critical for artistic and television productions.
The device is designed for mobile and studio work. With dual L-Series battery plates, the Shogun Classic can operate for extended periods of time, while also being powered by a DC cable. The compact dimensions of 214 x 127 x 45 mm and a weight of 738 g make it suitable for mounting on tripods, cranes and gimbal systems. The intuitive interface and clear display ensure smooth operation in dynamic scenes and complex multi-camera configurations.
