Description
The Tampon 17-70mm f/2.8 AF DI III-A VC RXD is a standard zoom lens with a 25.5-105mm equivalent focal length for APS-C (crop) with a constant aperture of f/2.8. The lens is suitable for all everyday situations, covering from a wide-angle perspective to a medium telephoto zoom, and thanks to the high light output, it is also suitable for low-light shooting situations. The optical design incorporates aspherical and low-dispersion elements that provide a corrected image with great sharpness and accurate color rendering. Tamron has also relied on their BBAR coating on the elements, which reduces flare and allows for greater contrast when shooting in challenging lighting conditions.
To be versatile, the lens has also added a stabilization system that reduces vibrations, both in photography and in video at slower operating speeds. The RXD motor provides fast and almost silent autofocus, and the minimum focus distance is only 19cm. The lens is protected from moisture and adverse conditions, and the front lens is coated with a fluorine coating that protects against fingerprints and greasy smudges.
