Description
The Zoom H1N is a 2-channel audio recorder and has a built-in stereo microphone that lets you easily record high-resolution 24 bits / 96 kHz audio. The successor to H1 offers enhanced functionality and is ready to meet the diverse requirements of videographers, musicians, vloggers and more. The Zoom H1N is equipped to track live performances, rehearsals, demos, record sound effects, interviews and environmental sounds.
Control and display
The H1n's front panel is arranged to provide easy and fast access to the most commonly used controls - record, play / pause buttons, stop, rewind and fast forward, one-touch buttons for low-cut filter, limiter and functions for automatic level and large gain knob (clearly indicated from 0 to 10). The recorder offers an automatic mode that adjusts the input level according to the input signal.
For added safety, the power button offers a Hold position that disables all buttons on the front panel to prevent accidental operation during recording.
The Zoom H1N comes with a 1.25 ”backlit monochrome LCD display that gives you information on sound levels, recording time, battery status, and more.
Built-in stereo microphone
The H1n comes with a built-in stereo microphone for clear recording. The capsules are arranged in the classic 90 ° X / Y configuration for tight stereo sound. With its capabilities, the Zoom H1N is suitable for recording speech, hands-on sessions, concerts or environmental sounds at levels up to 120 dB.
3.5mm Microphone Input / 3.5mm Output for connection to a camera or headset
Thanks to the 3.5mm stereo input that the H1N has, you can connect an external microphone, such as a brooch microphone, for clear recording.
A 3.5mm line out / headphone output lets you connect to your camera / DSLR or use a headset while recording. At the bottom of the front panel is a built-in mono speaker that lets you easily and quickly listen to your recordings.
Special recording features
Zoom H1N offers selectable recording features designed to prevent the startup from being accidentally dropped. By storing the previous two seconds of audio at the press of a record button, the pre-record option ensures that you never cut off the start of a great recording. Automatic recording can start recording when a user-defined audio level is detected, making it great for voice-activated recording. You can even set a timer to make the H1N automatically start recording after 10 seconds.
