Description
The Shure BLX288/B58 is a wireless microphone system that offers quality sound, easy setup and reliable performance. It includes the compact and lightweight two-channel BLX88 desktop receiver with internal antennas and two transmitters with Beta 58A supercardioid microphone capsules.
The receiver features the QuickScan function to quickly search 82 available frequencies and find a clear RF channel in case of interference. Two LED displays show group and channel settings, while four LED lights indicate when the system is ready for use and the strength of the incoming audio signal. The device offers two 1/4" and two XLR outputs for connection to PA systems and mixing boards.
The system provides up to 14 hours of continuous use with four AA batteries and a range of up to 100m. Up to 12 microphone channels can operate simultaneously in each frequency band.
The BLX2 transmitters are lightweight, ergonomically designed and comfortable to hold. Group and channel selection buttons allow for quick and easy frequency pairing with the receiver. Other features include an easy-to-reach on/off button and gain control.
The Beta 58A microphone capsules are optimized for vocals and speech. Each features a neodymium magnet for increased sensitivity and high output, and the supercardioid polar pattern greatly minimizes background noise. The dent-resistant steel mesh grid resists wear and tear. Built-in pop filter reduces unwanted wind and breath noise for clear and intelligible speech.
