Maximum reliability
The NVMe M.2 SSD used in the Blackmagic Design Cloud Store is extremely reliable in itself, but for added security the drives are organized into RAID 5 groups. In addition, the device has a dual power supply.
10G Ethernet
Blackmagic Cloud Store is equipped with 4 high-speed 10G Ethernet ports and a built-in 10G Ethernet switch, which allows independent connection to a computer on each port. They can also be used together for 40G Ethernet. This means minimal delay. Two 1G Ethernet ports are also available.
Real-time monitoring
The HDMI port of the device allows real-time monitoring by connecting directly to a TV or monitor. The graphics show the status of the kernel, as well as the reading and writing of information performed by different users and the transfer via Ethernet connection. The full indicator shows the status of both USB-C drives. There is also an indication of the status of each Dropbox connection.
USB-C for easier operation
When an Ethernet connection is not possible, you can use USB Type C to connect a computer, external drive or card reader for transfer or local file backup. With automatic local backup, the Blackmagic Design Cloud Store starts transferring the latest files first, and the transfer continues until the USB-C drive connected is full.
Easy maintenance and upgrade
Blackmagic Design Cloud Store has a simple design that allows easy maintenance, repair and upgrade. SSDs can be replaced, including larger ones, and the Blackmagic OS protects drives from excessive data recording. Real-time monitoring shows possible errors.
Free software
The Blackmagic Cloud Store is easy to use and you can simply connect it to your network or plug it in as a regular drive. However, if you want to make some configuration changes, free software is available for Mac and Windows that also allows you to add Dropbox sync folders.
