Description
Sony FE 24-70mm f / 2.8 GM II is a compact and lightweight standard zoom lens for full-format cameras with a constant maximum aperture. Weighing only 695 grams, it is approx. 20% lighter, 16 mm shorter and approx. 18% less total volume than its predecessor Sony FE 24-70mm f / 2.8 GM.
The completely updated optical scheme of the lens includes five aspherical elements (including two XA elements), two ED and two Super ED elements to minimize chromatic aberrations, astigmatism, asymmetric aberrations (coma) and more. Developed by Sony, the Nano AR Coating II coating prevents unwanted glare and ghosts, and the new 11-element diaphragm provides impressive bokeh.
The fast and reliable autofocus of the Sony FE 24-70mm f / 2.8 GM II is provided by a new floating focus mechanism and four linear XD motors, supporting speeds up to 30 fps and video recording up to 4K120p with autofocus. The AF system allows full tracking of subjects when shooting with a fixed aperture, and the tracking focus when approaching is approximately twice as good as that of the previous model.
Thanks to the smooth aperture control option, minimized focus "breathing", manual focus with linear response, quiet autofocus mechanism and compensation for focus fluctuations (with compatible cameras), Sony FE 24-70mm f / 2.8 GM II is particularly suitable and for video recording.
The lens has a dust and moisture resistant housing and fluoride coating on the front lens and is designed for maximum comfort - with options for zoom control (Tight / Smooth), for stepless control and locking of the aperture, two buttons to hold customizable focus, awning with hole for control of rotating filters, smooth and sensitive focusing ring and shifted to the bayonet center of gravity.
