Description
Nikon NIKKOR Z 800mm f / 6.3 VR S is a lightweight supetele lens with a fixed focal length, developed for the mirrorless Nikon Z camera system.
The weight of the lens is about 50% lower than that of a similar model for DSLR cameras, and the body is about 15% shorter, thanks to the Fresnel lens (Phase Fresnel Element) used by Nikon. The optical scheme of the lens includes 3 ED (extra-low dispersion) and one SR (short-wavelength refractive) element, which eliminates chromatic and asymmetric aberrations (coma) for realistic color reproduction and clear images.
The combination of reduced weight, excellent focal length brightness and stabilization of the Nikon NIKKOR Z 800mm f / 6.3 VR S allows manual shooting, with stabilization compensating up to 5 steps, and when working with cameras that support Synchro VR - up to 5.5 steps.
The lens has a multi-focus AF system with stepper motors for fast and accurate focusing and tracking of subjects with the possibility of manual correction at any time.
The body of the Nikon NIKKOR Z 800mm f / 6.3 VR S is made of magnesium alloy and is protected against the ingress of dust and moisture, and the front and rear lenses have a coating that repels contaminants. It has a drop-in filter slot (46 mm) and conveniently and intuitively located controllers, including a Memory Set button to store the focus position, Fn ring and two L-Fn buttons, which can be set functions such as object tracking, focus lock, etc.
Thanks to the precise aperture control and the lack of "breathing" when focusing, NIKKOR Z 800m f / 6.3 is also suitable for quality video recording.
