Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro is a professional broadcast deck for recording, playback and video monitoring up to DCI / UHD 4K 30p, which is an electronic version of the classic tape decks.
Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro is equipped with 12G-SDI input and two 12G-SDI outputs, loop-through SDI output and a special SDI output for monitoring, as well as HDMI input and output. All ports support video up to DCI 4K and automatically detect SD, HD and 12G-SDI format.
The recording of uncompressed (ProRes or DNxHD) or H.264 10-bit 4: 2: 2 video is done through two SSD slots and two SD card slots or by recording on external media via USB-C, and the port can be also used for streaming source to computer.
The controls of the Blackmagic Design HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro include a set of illuminated buttons and a rotary selector on the front panel, which also has a color display for direct monitoring, including for color spaces Rec.2020 and Rec.709.
Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro has a 1 RU metal housing, designed for installation in crabs for convenient use in PTS, in the field, in the studio, etc.
Timecode, reference and sync generators allow the connection of multiple HyperDeck Studio devices for ISO recording and editing of multi-camera footage, as well as the simultaneous transmission of multi-screen walls.
The dual memory slots of Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro allow for continuous continuous recording and real-time memory replacement. Each slot is equipped with a status indicator. H.265 allows up to 58 hours of 2160p60 UHD video recording on 1TB of memory. The USB Type-C port gives the option to use external media, as well as the connection of Blackmagic MultiDock 10G with four SSD slots.
The Blackmagic HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro offers Fill and Key outputs for broadcast animations, supporting ProRes 4444 HD files, and the USB-C port provides a PC connection for direct HD video to any video software.
SDI and HDMI inputs automatically detect HDR standards and tag files with the correct HDR information, static metadata PQ and HLG formats are treated according to the ST2084 standard. It is also possible to load 3D LUT to the monitoring output.
HyperDeck Studio 4K Pro accepts professional multi-channel SDI audio signal for recording up to 16 channels in real time. It is possible to monitor the metrics for all channels.
The FTP client on the deck allows fast file transfer, and a convenient and easy text protocol is used for remote control, which can be used by applications such as Telnet. Traditional remote control via RS-422 is also available.
