Description
DJI RS 2 is a powerful compact gyrostabilizer with a load capacity of up to 4.5 kg, which makes it suitable for use with video and cinema cameras and cameras such as Sony A7S III, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K, Canon 1D X Mark III, combined with a 24-70mm f lens /2.8 and others.
This gimbal is a redesigned and improved new version of the DJI Ronin-S, which is more compact and about 25% lighter than its predecessor, thanks to the carbon fiber used in the construction, the later grip and the more compact battery. At the same time, the DJI Ronin-RS2 provides up to 12 hours of operation on a single battery charge, and it is powered by electric motors that are about 20% more powerful than those of the Ronin-S.
DJI RS 2 is equipped with a 1.4-inch touch color display to access the gimbal settings and some features that in the previous model were only available through a mobile application, such as time-lapse and hyperlapse.
There are 2 RSA ports with power supply for accessories - one on each side of the stand - and each of them has a NATO mount.
A dual Manfrotto + Arca-Swiss system with two quick-release plates is used to mount the camera. Each axis of the stabilizer has a separate lock, which allows the balancing of each separately, and in addition there is a fine controller for optimal balance.
The stabilization of the RS 2 is based on the DJI Titan algorithm and provides maximum smoothness, and when working with zoom lenses with a focal length of up to 100mm, it is complemented by the SuperSmooth function, which compensates for micro-movements (requires an additional attachment for lens support).
The battery of the model is replaceable and provides up to 12 hours of continuous operation. It is charged via a USB Type-C port on the grip, which can be completely disassembled if desired and only serve as a battery charger. The DJI BG30 flu is compatible with PD and QC 2.0 charging protocols. The battery supports 24W fast charging, which charges it to a maximum within 1.5 hours (an optional fast charger is required).
The Ronin app, compatible with iOS and Android, offers many creative options, in addition to the standard time-lapse and panorama. Time Tunnel is a mode that combines camera rotation with hyperlapse to create a sense of distortion of space and time. Force Mobile makes the gimbal follow the movements of the smartphone and more. When using the DJI RavenEye 1080p transmitter, the response in Force Mobile mode is improved, and the Live View can also be displayed on the built-in display when using ActiveTrack.
DJI RS 2 is equipped with a special transport case, which has compartments for each part and a key accessory, and a mini tripod.
