Description
Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K is a digital cinema camera with 12K Super 35 sensor and 14 steps dynamic range, which allows shooting 12K 12-bit RAW video with 60 fps, 8K video with 110 fps and 4K Super 16 video with up to 220 fps.
The case is equipped with a replaceable PL mount, built-in ND filters, slots for CFast and SD UHS-II cards and USB-C port.
Exceptional resolution
The URSA Mini Pro 12K offers a high resolution of 12288 x 6480 (12K DCI), which provides incredible detail, great dynamic range and rich colors. The camera is an ideal choice for working with a green screen and VFX.
12K supersampling allows better 8K resolution and color, as well as exceptional smoothness of transitions.
Cinematic Super 35 12K sensor
Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K is equipped with a revolutionary new sensor with a resolution of 12288 x 6480 or in other words - the incredible 80 megapixels! It offers 14 steps dynamic range and native ISO 800.
The sensor has the same amount of red, green and blue pixels and is optimized for shooting at different resolutions. It allows shooting in 12K at 60 fps, as well as 8K or 4K RAW with up to 110 fps without crop or change of viewing angle. It's like shooting with many cameras in one.
The interchangeable camera mount provides a huge selection of lenses - both modern and retro - depending on the needs and requirements of each operator.
Lightweight and easy 12K workflow
The URSA Mini Pro 12K sensor and Blackmagic RAW codec were developed with the idea of making it easier to work with 12-bit RAW in 12K so that the workflow can be done even with a laptop.
Absolute reliability
URSA Mini Pro 12K offers Q0 and Q5 quality options and the new Q1 and Q3 for constant image quality with scene-adaptive compression.
The 5: 1, 8: 1, 12: 1 encoding options and the new 18: 1 set a constant bitrate for the predicted file size while maintaining the best possible image.
Blackmagic Desing URSA Mini Pro 12K can record RAW simultaneously on two cards for maximum reliability, and Blackmagic RAW stores camera metadata, lens data, white balance adjustment and custom LUT for consistency of images in the field and in post-production.
Maximum resolution at high frame rates
The camera can shoot at up to 60 fps in 12K (12.288 x 6480) 17: 9, and for a higher frame rate it can switch to 110 fps at 8192 x 4320, 140 fps at 8192 x 3408 and even to Super 16 for 4K shooting at 220 fps at 4096 x 2160 DCI, and the transitions in 8K and 4K remain as smooth as possible at low frame rates.
Exceptional bitrate
With the "Record RAW on 2 Cards" option enabled, the URSA Mini Pro 12K can simultaneously record on two cards a size with up to 900MB / s (2 CFast cards) or with up to 500MB / s (2 UHS ‑ II SD cards). In addition, the USB ‑ C port allows recording on external media at up to 900MB / s.
