The Leica APO-Summicron-SL 50mm f/2 ASPH lens is a standard manual focus apochromatic model for L-mount mirrorless cameras.
An apochromatic design with 3 anomalous partial chromatic dispersion elements and two high refractive index elements suppress chromatic aberrations for increased color accuracy and clarity, and an aspherical element reduces spherical aberrations for improved edge-to-edge sharpness.
The large f/2 maximum aperture is beneficial when working in low light conditions and provides greater control over depth of field.
The Leica APO-Summicron-M 50mm f/2 ASPH is light and compact, making it extremely suitable for everyday use.
A built-in shade blocks stray light and shields the front element to reduce glare and halos.
