Description
The Zoom iQ6 Stereo X / Y Lightning is a microphone that can quickly and easily turn your iOS device into an audio recorder. The microphone is compatible with all devices with a Lighiting connector and finds various applications for recording audio from concerts, interviews, meetings, lectures and more at up to 16-bits / 48kHz resolution.
The Zoom iQ6 uses two high-quality, one-way condenser microphones that can be set at two different angles, 90 degrees for tightly focused recording, or 120 degrees for deeper stereo sound. Using the large wheel in the front of the unit, you control gain while observing your levels with the help of the 3-segment LED. The IQ6 has a 3.5mm headphone output that allows direct observation during recording and playback.
Zoom iQ6 Stereo X / Y Lightning is compatible with the Zoom Handy Recorder application, which lets you record PCM or AAC files and offer effects such as compression, EQ and Reverb. In addition, it can work with the voice memo application of Apple, GarageBand and more.
Handy Recorder application
The Zoom Handy Recorder application, which you can download for free from the App Store, offers a range of tools. In addition to measuring the levels you see on the screen, the app allows you to adjust the volume in the headset, as well as add an automatic recording function - convenient for meetings, lectures, speeches and more. Choose the highest quality audio or AAC format PCM format to save storage space, and then you can apply compression, EQ and Reverb effects to your recordings. Handy Recorder even lets you email and upload files to SoundCloud.
