Description
The RODE NTG8 microphone is a long shotgun model for broadcast, designed for situations where highly directional sound is required.
It features RF-bias technology providing superior resistance to moisture and condensation, allowing it to be used outdoors in adverse conditions. The NTG8 has a rich, warm sound and a tightly controlled polar pattern with excellent directivity even at lower frequencies.
Thanks to its 3-pin XLR output and 44 to 52 VDC phantom power compatibility, the NTG8 is compatible with a variety of handheld audio recorders and mixer adapters, as well as the built-in preamps of many camcorders and cinema cameras. The NTG8 uses a specially designed XLR connector to reduce susceptibility to RF interference from devices such as cell phones and other transmitters.
The included shock absorber allows the NTG8 to be placed on a stand, preventing vibrations from being transferred to the microphone, and the windscreen significantly reduces unwanted side noise.
