Versatile and compact standard lens construction
The Gaussian optics, combined with the two lens elements with a high refractive lens, allow photographers in all areas to capture sharp, crisp images, even with the f / 1.4 wide aperture wide open. The lens is ideal for capturing landscapes and views while traveling, as well as for portrait and report photography.
Ultrasonic focusing
The ultrasonic motor provides ultra-fast autofocus, at the same time almost silent. The excellent holding torque ensures accurate and precise reaching of the focus point without going beyond it. In addition, manual focus is possible at any time, allowing you to adjust the focus without having to cancel the autofocus mode.
Smooth defocusing of the background
The virtually circular aperture gives the out-of-focus areas an extra sense of softness and evenness. The clear objects in the foreground stand out against the smoothly defocused background.
