Lens Canon EF 85mm f/1.8 USM
The Canon EF 85mm f / 1.8 USM is a short telephoto lens that slightly compresses the perspective of portrait photography. The large maximum aperture of f / 1.8 allows even in low light conditions and limits the depth of field to create artistic effects. Super Spectra coverage ensures accurate color balance, enhances contrast and serves to reduce glare. The USM ultrasonic ring motor delivers ultra-fast automatic and near-silent focusing.

Practical and portable telephoto lens
The EF 85mm f / 1.8 USM delivers sharp, clear images across all aperture openings. The virtually circular aperture gives the out-of-focus areas a softer, even more sensual feel, and allows the objects in focus to stand out against the defocused background. The lens is characterized by a non-rotating front focusing element, which allows the use of special filters (eg polarizing and grading filters).
Large aperture f / 1.8
The large aperture f / 1.8 maximum aperture allows photographers to shoot without a tripod in low light, and to limit the depth of field for creating artistic effects.
The short focal length of the telephoto lens slightly compresses the perspective, reducing the size of the convex parts of the face for excellent results.
Ultrasonic focusing
The ultrasonic ring motor provides extremely fast autofocus, at the same time almost silent. The excellent holding torque ensures accurate and precise reaching of the focus point without going beyond it. In addition, manual focus is possible at any time, allowing you to adjust the focus without having to cancel the autofocus mode.
Super Spectra coverage
Super Spectra coatings guarantee accurate color balance and enhance contrast. They also reduce glare - a common problem caused by the light reflected from the camera's sensor.
Integration with E-TTL II exposure measurement
The lens transmits the distance information back to the E-TTL II flash control system of the EOS camera to provide optimal exposure measurement.
