Description
The Sony A7 is a mirrorless digital camera suitable for photo and video applications. The camera features a 24.3MP Full-frame Exmor® CMOS sensor and a Bionz X processor for 5fps speeds, while the Fast Hybrid AF system uses 117 phase-detection points and 25 contrast-detection points to achieve fast, accurate focus on subjects in dynamic light conditions. In addition to speed and autofocus, the sensor-processor combinations help to achieve greater image clarity and reduced noise throughout the ISO 100-25600 sensitivity range. The Sony A7 records FullHD (1920x1080) 60p video, and with built-in Wi-Fi and NFC, you can easily control the camera with your smartphone and share photos. The movable 3-inch Xtra Fine LCD allows you to compose from any angle, and the high-contrast 2.4M OLED electronic viewfinder provides 100% coverage.
Lens Sony FE 24-240mm F / 3.5-6.3 OSS
The Sony FE 24-240mm F/3.5-6.3 OSS lens is a universal autofocus zoom lens for mirrorless cameras with full-frame sensors and E mount.
It covers a wide-angle to telephoto focal length range, making it a true all-in-one lens suitable for almost any shooting situation.
Its 10x zoom range is complemented by Optical SteadyShot Image Stabilizer (OSS) to achieve a better image when shooting handheld and when recording video.
The Sony FE 24-240mm F/3.5-6.3 OSS is equipped with an autofocus motor that ensures fast, quiet and precise focus, and the dust and moisture resistant construction ensures reliable operation in harsh outdoor conditions.
One lens for all occasions
The 10x zoom range of 24mm to 240mm allows this lens to cover a variety of travel situations when baggage reduction is a priority, landscapes, architecture, snapshots and more. Switch between wide-angle and telephoto views without having to change the lens to capture more fleeting moments. Advanced optics effectively suppress aberrations while delivering high resolution across the entire image area, while the precision linear motor drives focus for fast, smooth response. Hand-held telephoto and low-light photography are facilitated by built-in image stabilization Optical SteadyShot (OSS), while the construction is dust and moisture resistant for reliable handling in harsh environments.
24mm emphasizes full-format visual impact
Although 28mm is the normal wide end for this type of lens, the extended range of up to 24mm allows for more dynamic images, especially full-size images.
10x zoom captures objects near and far
The zoom range from 24mm to 240mm covers a wide variety of photographic needs, from nature and landscapes to architecture and portraits.
Sharper photos, regardless of light
Image Stabilization Built-in Optical SteadyShot (OSS) makes it easy to capture clear images by hand at the telephoto end of the zoom range or in low light.
High reliability in adverse conditions
Dust and moisture resistant construction ensures reliable operation in harsh outdoor conditions.
Lens configuration
Impressive optical performance for Sony E-Mounted cameras, precisely designed for flexibility and reliability and a wide variety of applications.
Schematic of MTF
The MTF (Modulation Transmission Function) describes how well the lens can reproduce fine details, measured as the degree of contrast achieved with short distance lines.
